Years ago, I worked in a marina. We specialized in restoration of mahogany Chris-Craft boats. We used liquid bleach to bleach the wood to attain the lighter, contrasting "blonde" color typical of Chris-Craft boats. After sanding, the bleached area was stained and varnished as usual. I'm not aware of any problems associated with this process regarding stain/varnish adhesion. This was an established, professional establishment, that had used this process for years. Any thoughts/experience using this process with epoxy? I'm building the Expedition Single using Northern Red Cedar. -Thanks
