I have read that running a filter unit in the shop for an hour or so before varnishing will greatly reduce the ambient dust. Alas, I dont have one. I thought if I clean up real well, and vacuum the floor it would help. I used a leaf blower to stir up the dust, then let it settle, then vacuum. I am hoping this gets the dust off of the rafters, etc...
