Ross asked for some photos, so here's the approach I've taken for form alignment of surfyak T-4.
What you're looking at is a series of forms at 6" or so spacing, threaded on a 2" by 4" strongback laid on its side. The sideways orientation is because of this kayaks extreme rocker and because of a desire to make the strongback as long as possible.
Screwed (2 screws each) into the 2" sides of the strongback are spacers made of 1/2" (5/8"?) plywood by 2" high (same as strongback). One end is cut at right angles and is butted right to the form location, while the other end is cut short at an angle. Into the angled space is pushed (with yer thumb) a wedge, therebye locking the form in place just enough so you can tap it into alignment with a few light shots with your hammer on the appropriate outside edges.
Once into place, a couple of sharp taps w/ the hammer locks the forms into place. No screws, nails or pins thru the form or wedges allow rapid realignment if necessary - (I dropped the whole ass'y a couple of times as I was first moving it around - duh). . . .
So if you're not bored now turn to pic 2 for an "Alignment Idea"
