So now you see it. After sucking down the brewski, I pass out - grabbing the kayak as I go, and after I wake up - I get to do the "knee bumps" on the other side!
This is also very handy even for deck strips. I lay it on the side to put the glue on the side (now uppermost) of a placed strip, tip it up and attach the strip - it doesn't fall off and I don't ever have to bend down. Gotta save that strength!
I guess this whole process presupposes complex stripping - If you're just laying up only 3/4" bead and cove and you're gonna be finished in 3 days or a week - don't bother. It comes into its own when one complex area is gluing up and you want to do some more.
Anyhow there's the couple of ideas that I've implemented so far. I hope you enjoyed looking at my incremental progress so far.
