I'm getting ready to install my deck on a Ches 17'. A few questions: I'm including a feathercraft rudder and I need advice on installation, Where do I locate the footbraces? They are adjustable and I am 6'2". I'd rather not pass the screws to fasten the braces through the hull, I know I can epoxy wood to the inside of the hull to fasten to but can anyone recommend a technique? What is a good wood for this brace mount? Should on put glass tape over the mount to strengthen it? Any other things to keep in mind before I attach the deck?
