I remember back when I was about 15 or 16 I built a sled. It had fixed rails in back, steerable rails in front, a steering wheel, a cowling over the "hood", and a nice cockpit to sit in. It was made of plywood, and weighed a ton. At the first good snow, I took it to the sledding hill. In front of many onlookers, I climbed aboard, checked the controls, and gave the signal to push. I flew down the hill, made to the bottom intact, and was grinning ear to ear. However, the thing was so heavy, it took me about 1/2 hour to drag it to the top of the hill. I never used it again. It was a one-shot sled.
May you have many trips (and grins).
