I too used a random orbital sander. I got one with velcro (hook and loop) pad. First I bought a Sears one with a felt pad designed for adhesive disks, unfortunately it was a piece of crap. After a while the pads would start to adhere poorly, due to some kind of build up. Probably could have messed around with it and got it all cleaned up, but it seemed like a hassle. I returned it and bought a dewalt one, with which I am really happy, works like a dream. No problems. It was a $30 dollar difference in price, but a big difference in ease of use. Good luck,
