1/2" ??? why? Ary you talking about a grap loop or actually putting you fingers in there and carrying it.

I would tape one side and fill the hole with epoxy puddy and re drill a 1/4 " hole. You just want it large enough to put a piece of 1/4" line in there to make some kind of grap handles or loops. I find it amaizing that pigmey as asking builders to drill a 1/2" hole.
