I believe they are using a different type of epoxy which requires the higher temperatures to cure. It is also a stronger resin. Most resins begin to soften when temperatures are elevated to around 150 deg. F (after fully cured) and can cause structural failure in applications of high stress at elevated temperatures and these applications are primarily where the higher temperature epoxies are used. They use autoclaves to elevate the temperatures while simultaneously pressurizing the chamber, and or using vacuum baging technics. I am a newcomer to strip building but it doesn't appear to me that the low temperature epoxies cause problems which require the more expensive processes and epoxies. If you contact the manufacturer of the epoxies (West Systems or System Three etc.) and talk to a knowledgable technical representative they can give you a wealth of information and give you good sources of literature availble via mail.
