Hi mark
I made my own as per the instructions in Nicks book. I used 2 pieces of 3"x12"x12" minicell foam. Figured the average angle for the vee in the hull in the area I wanted to install the seat. I used a scroll saw to cut the angle on one face of each block. then I cut off 3" off each block. Then I glued them together to form a seat block 15" by 18". That was the easy part. Next, I used a marker to draw a U on the upper suface, this is the pattern to form the contoured seat to fit you. I donned a tyvek suit, air mask and using a angle grinder, I preceded to carve the contour in steps. First a shallow contour to ensure I was getting a good fit, then a little deeper, pausing every 1/2" depth until I got the contour just right, then I carved another 3/4" to finish it as low as I dared. Overall, took about 2 hrs to build. I used contact cement to glue the blocks together and attach 2" velcro strips for temporary positioning, once I was sure of the position I used Lepage premium adhesive to glue the seat on place permanently.
