Hi Dan I have a canoe that is 18 years old. It has been stored inside all the time (when not in the water or on the top of the car). I used it quit a bit until I got interested in kayaks a few years ago. This boat is still in great shape. needs to be revarnished now but the looks and strength seem unaffected by time. the color has darkened to a much more bown appearance. Gary
