I do have it installed, I've just not paddled with it yet. The front clips (nearest the cockpit) detach, and then you can slid the bag into your lap (the rear clips ride the strap rails and allow the bag to come out pretty far. The entire top opens with a dual zipper. When slid back in, the front clips keep the bag up against the deck. Both front and back can be detached if you want to take the bag out completely. All that is left in the boat is the two webbing straps.
