My posting is taking longer to do than I previously judged, so I will be dribbling these out rather than doing them all at once. Surfyak awaits, and I've finished 5/8 of the decorative areas, and I got to keep my priorities straight......

TUBE FITTINGS

Realizing that the padeye approach might take some work, I came up with a really simple concept for a fitting - just sewing on the deck lines. The actuality is a little more involved, but there are some possibilties here:

The idea is to put two holes next to each other and thread the deck rope thru, while the holes are backed up below the deck. Say a pc of wood w/ the two holes slanted toward ea other. After rigging, fill up the holes w/ sealant.

A variation is to use clear plastic tubing below the glass on the deck and then glassed over. A couple of extra pcs of glass for strength.

Or a 3/8" diam. copper pipe angle cut or 3/8" box sections rotated 45deg. and inset into the deck.

Or inset a 3/4" drilled dowel. Cover w/ extra glass like above or mount w/ T-nuts from below.

Or from below, a shaped pc of 1"x1" w/ rabbeted ends.
