I have finally glassed both sides of the deck and the exterior of the hull, and will do the interior of the hull tonight on my Guillemot Expedition Single. I used 8.9oz satin weave glass and Fiberlay's medium speed epoxy. I handled the glass carefully, and in a 3 or 4 spots, ranging in size from half dollar to silver dollar (eisenhower, not anthony), ovals and circles, that refused to wet out. They just stayed dry, like they had been contaminated with something. I eventually did force some epoxy into the spots, and pressed them firmly to the wood, but they never went completely clear. I am resigned to their presence, but I'm curious as to how they got there. Any ideas?
Thanks in advance.
