I'll try to make it as clear as possible.

I used a long 2"x1" with notches cut out. Into the notches I fit the hatch frames - this holds the frames perpendicular to the hatch cover and while the epoxy sets.

Then, to curve the hatch cover to match the frame curves I applied pressure down on the long 2x1 - thereby pushing the hatch frames down into the cover. Since the hatch cover is only supported along the edges the hatch is forced to curve to match the shape of the frames. Personally I used a tourniquet type method to increase downward pressure, I'm sure the same could be accomplished with clamps or with weights.

Once the hatch is forced to the proper curve it's easy to apply a thick bead of epoxy along the frame edges.
