> I don't think this would work very well. I have this arrangment on my solid fiberglass hull of my sailboat. I've always been told that this technique does not work on hulls that are composites like fiberglass/endgrain balsa/fiberglass or fiberglass/foam/fiberglass although I have never tried it. I have been planning to do the same thing but have planned to mount the transducer on a stick that sits in the water or attach it to the trailing edge of the rudder
