Tony:

I just discussed this with MAS, and they recommend a full cure prior to any varnish application. If I remember right, that would be about five days to a week. You can usually time your work so that this is not dead time - work on the outside while the inside cures, etc. Another reason to wait for full cure is that you need to do an extensive fairing/sanding before varnishing, and cured epoxy is easier and safer to work with.
