The Nordic Hawk is in the water!!!

My latest project is in the water it is a prototype for a fast tripping kayak.

Here are the Kayak Data: Loa: 5.5 m Lwl: 5.3 m Boa: 0.52

The Kayak has a rather straight keel line and tracks very well the low profile makes it insensitive to wind. It is not a true offshore kayak.

The wood is Meranti (red luan). It is to heavy but looks nice. And is very easy to work with. The boat weight is 20kg but with a lighter wood some thing around 15 kg is not unreachable

The building time was less than two weeks not including varnishing

It is a true cyber design I have had great help from John Winters and Leo Lazauskas pages and the Hull designer from Carlson Design
