Patuxent Bottom Panel Shape

Hello...I am building 2 CLC Patuxent 17.5s this summer (from scratch). Today, I finally got to the point of drawing the shape of the bottom and side panels. I had no problems on the 2 side panels seeing as how they are mostly straight lines. However, the bottom panels are a different story. I was very meticulous drawing station points for the bottom panels. All points were checked and double checked. I then nailed brads at each point. Looking at table level over the brads, I could see the shape at the ends of panels was kind-of weird.

Then, drawing with my batten, I confirmed my suspicions. The end lines (over center line) become concave. Lines comming from the center of the panel are convex. Is this normal?

Thanks,

Steve Bailey
