I mounted my Guzzler on the front bulkhead of my guillemot. I was trying to take up the least amount of real estate so the body of the pump is actually on the hatch side of the bulkhead with the foot plate and intake hose comming through holes in the bulkhead. I used a 45 degree PCV elbow pipe with slots cut in it as a drainer. The out take hose is flexable tubing that runs to a flaper valve on the front deck.

The pump already has a backflow valve but I didn't want to always have the hose filled with water or a hole in the deck should the hose some how get disconnected so I mounted a backflow valve to the bottom of the deck.

I couldn't find a design that hid the outtake hole in the deck so I mounted a brass through port to dress up the hole.

The system works great. The only thing I would do differently if I were to do it again is to mount the pump higher on the bulk head. I centered it on the bulkhead not thinking that it should be centered on the ball of your foot as it does most of the work.
