I attended the Great Lakes Sea Kayak Symposium last weekend (at the Pictured Rocks of Lake Superior), and saw 2 very nice strip-built boats. The builder had used one layer of Raka 3.5-oz tight-weave cloth, and it turned COMPLETELY clear! He used 6-oz tape on the deck/hull seam, and this showed the fiberglass weave. According to the builder, Raka is also coming out (or has come out) with a 6-oz tight-weave cloth. Any thoughts as to how hard it would be to wet out and remove bubbles from this kind of cloth? Dean
