I bought 72" 6oz cloth from Raka and layed it over the boat diagonally (like Nick shows in his book). This made the cloth drape over the stems very easily (on the bias).

It was hard to handle cloth that wide alone, but with a partner, it shouldn't be a problem. The cost was somewhere in the $5-6 range which I thought was quite good. I'd do the same thing again in a heartbeat.
