In Response To: "A Fitting Reprise ..." (dwg7/13) (Mike Allen)
cont'd from 7/13:
Exposed and Hidden Piano Hinges:
1)Exposed
Chamfer a groove between hatch and deck. Alternate loops of say copper (or bronze or plastic - some hard thin mat'l). Run a pin thru and lock in place.
2) Hidden
Mount hinge flanges in deck/glass interface, alternate loops, and run slip pin through. Or try heavy duty plastic hinges from large scale model airplanes while still using a long pin.
3) Blind Stud
While not really a blind dzus, the blind stud with either bunches of pins or with one long pin in a track, might be the closest to what I'm looking for.
