I'm not sure if these are exactly the same models as you are referring to, but Clark Craft has plans for cnavas on frame kayaks that seem to match your escriptions. Their plans BK 15 and BK 26 are (according to the catalog description):
" BK 15 This is a fast touring single seater suitable for rapid rivers and the open sea in capapble hands. Very safe and stable. The length is 14'6" and the beam is 26" The cockpit is 48". The normal mximum load capacity is 400 lbs. Plans include details fr sail rigs, paddles, cockpit."
"BK 26 is a fast and stable solo single seater with a short cockpit and a rocker keel making this a good boat for white water, It has a rounded cockpit and plywood side-decks. Length is 14' and width is 26", normal maximum load is 400 lbs. Simple construction and little care. Plans include details for a sail, paddles, and cockpit cover."
These are just two of the 14 canvas covered kayaks that Clark Craft has plans for. (I bought the BK 12, which is the folding kayak, and I may actually get it finished this month -- but not as a folder) There are a few additional plans with "BK" numbers, which are built from plywood, or cold-molded veneer.
My catalog is about 5 years old, but at that time they were asking $26 for a set of plans. You can get the phone and fax numbers for Clark Craft from their web page www.clarkcraft.com. last I checked the catalog was $5, but the price list was free.
If you can relive the days of your youth by looking at these boats in their catalog for a mere $5, I'd say you were getting quite a deal.
if you decide to actually build one of these things, they also carry a real heavy-duty canvas (15 ounce duck for making these kayaks. It is listed in the price list.
Unfortunately they don't have their complete catalog online.
Sorry I can't help with the other plans.
