Is there an optimal/best size for the upper coaming overhang? I'm close to finishing a Pygmy Coho and when offering up the upper coaming to the lower I see the overhang is approx 3/4". This amount of overhang looks just a bit clumsy and it would look much better at one half inch. Is half an inch enough to retain a normal sprayskirt in (less than wild) conditions? Small stuff I know,... but I'm so pleased with the boat so far, thanks in advance. Les Lacey.
