Considering what you will pay for these bits, why not just use square edged strips? For spots where they form tight curves you can fit them neatly by just using a hand plane for a few seconds. Or you can use narrower strips. Or you can use narrower strips that have their edges planed. But most of the time you don't have to do any fancy additional work to the strips. Just use them.
