Great idea.

In the days before CAD a lot of text or standard details were put on vellums using "sticky-backs". It is a clear PSA plastic sheet designed to be run through a xerox machine. The rose detail would be xeroxed onto it and then you would peel the back off and stick it onto any existing map. You should be able to find it at any blue print supply.
