In Response To: Selling boats. (Paul Woolson)
That original thread was about building a stripper for a client on order. $4500 plus. I sold my first stripper (a panache) for $1600. It was very used, needed a varnish and had it's share of deep scratches etc. I liked the buyer and he liked the boat. In those cases I try to find it a good home. I also needed the garage space and had three other strippers.
I think all these things matter. Also. It's a very elete market. Some people love the wood boats but are afraid of them- Maintenance etc. so if you get someone who likes the boat, and really would like to buy it, don't be stubborn with the price.
