> -greg I like what Byron has to say. but for your own satisfaction go ahead and make two 6"x6" test panels and see what happens. test the panels for impact,fracture propogation,and how many light whacks with the hammer does it take to damage the glass and wood. As hard as varnish is, I don't think it is going to provide the protection to the glass and then the wood that epoxy will provide.
