I to was concerned about a twist appearing in the first kayak I ever built. I was more concerned about using epoxy after hearing about all the things that could go wrong. To better understand how to minimize those concerns, I found the many answers in CLC's booklet "Stitch and Glue Construction" that came with the North Bay kit. I also found a lot of help in CLC "Shop Notes" which can be found on the CLC web site http://www.clcboats.com/ The CLC staff was also very helpful over the phone. My North Bay turned out OK, but it is a little to heavy, around 50 lbs., mainly because I used to much epoxy. I created a web site to relate my experience in building the boat http://pages.cthome.net/bobbycurtis/index.htm
