You might look closely around your neck of the woods, talk to some woodworkers and/ or lumber yards for a local sawmill.

Some guys have protables rigs, others will pick the log(s) up and slice and dry them for you at VERY reasonable prices. And it is MUCH quicker than using a chainsaw. Cutting logs that way is REALLY toughon the saw and the chains.

I found a guy one mile from my house who has a portable rig, and cuts up lumber as a side source of income and as a hobby. He charges $40 per hour and can cut 200bf an hour, that is pretty cheap lumber!
