I recently built a beautiful Guillemot kayak, but need to sell it ASAP. This boat has only been paddled 3 times, for less than an hour each time. It is built from cove and bead Northern White Cedar and Western Red Cedar Strips. The bow and stern are accented with Ash laminations along the keel, and the coming lip is also made out of Ash. I included the flat cockpit Detail. The boat has both a bow and stern flush wood hatches, which are held down with nylon webbing and buckles. Watertight bulkheads made of 3 inch mini-cell foam are installed, and sealed with 3M marine sealant. Aluminum footbraces and a seat with backstrap are also installed.I used a fairly liberal fiberglass schedule, using 6oz. glass and MAS Epoxy Resin. I finished it with 5 coats of Z-Spar Captain's Varnish. The materials alone cost me about $1500.00. All leftover supplies(Glass, resin, varnish, etc.) will be included. I am an experienced woodworker and spend around 350 hours on the project. Pictures are available, or if your in the Eastern PA or NJ area, stop by to see it. Asking price: $2100.00 or best offer
