You might be able to find a peice of pvc or abs pipe that would fit around the pump, plug the back end and glue a screw cap fitting on the top end, epoxy it directly under the deck, then maybe contact cement some foam in the tube to keep it from rattling. If not the pump, this does work good for storing other small items you don't want to get wet.
