You could use a piece of 3" PVC that would just fit the 2" dia. pump. Mount the screw cap, and cut a slot in the side of the cap and tube for the outlet port of the pump to project out of.

Those hollow foam "pool noodles" are just the right ID to fit on a pump. I'm using one for a pump float, but you could securely fasten a piece of this stuff in the boat and slip the pump into it like a holster.
