Somebody will correct me if I'm wrong, but I think just about any blade will work. Thinner kerf is better, ripping type blades are better. I really think the fence makes more of a difference, and the anti-kickback holder. I'm planning to cut strips about 1/32" fat and plane them to 1/4" anyway so I dont care how smooth the cut is.
