From a realistic standpoint I couldn't imagine having to sand a hull that starts out at 1/8" thick. I figure I must take off at least 1/16" doing the fairing and sanding inside and out and that isn't an even 1/16" all around, it might be more in some places. If you do this sand with a bright light inside the hull and watch for the orange glow through the wood as your hull disappears :~)
