Well I tried the saran wrap, but didn't care for it too much. Finally I just cast it with PVA and wax, and had to significantly damage the mold getting it to release. Fortunately, I'd reinforced it with wire mesh, so it isn't beyond repair. Thanks for the tips. Next time I'll shellac first.
