I finished glassing the inside of my Exp Sgl about a month ago. I too had troubles like you describe. I have only made _one_ kayak, so I don't wish to represent myself as an expert on "how much of a problem" you (and I) have. I will share what I did, though.

The concave surface of the hull (and deck, for that matter) were more difficult around the shearline because gravity tried to pull the glass away from the wood. (bad gravity, down, gravity, DOWN). Anyway, I learned about halfway through the process that if I saw a bubble while I was wetting out the glass, that I had the best luck eliminating the bubble by using an ice pick (or a drywall screw, or a knife point, anything with a really fine point) to ease apart the fibers of the glass to allow the air to escape and the epoxy to flow in. It was important to have enough epoxy in the local area to fill the bubble.
