Aloha Bobby, I also required a scratch resistant product (lots of nasty coral reef over here) I decided on an automotive clear-coat for both the deck and hull (over the paint). Imron by Dupon't was my choice and after 350 miles I have very few scratches on the hull and non at all in the deck finish. Love the clear-coat, sprays well and is very ,very scratch and UV resistant. check out my Guillemot on my web site listed below. Mahalo.........Peter
