I find myself less than a mile from a great put-in here in Santa Cruz, California. The idea of putting two kayaks on top of the car, tying them down properly and then finding parking is kind of rediculous. I'm looking for ideas and/or plans for building a dolly to carry the kayaks, attached to the back of a bike. My idea was to make a dolly with a couple of 20" BMX wheels and a rack to stack two kayaks, and then another rack at the other end with a swingarm of sorts to attach to my mountain bike.
Any ideas? Anyone done this or attempted this? Failures are just as important to know as successes. Let me know...
Mark
