Just got home from the Newfound Woodworks Rendezvous 99. I wont come down from this high for weeks!! Designers Nick Schade, Rob Macks, Jay Babina, Rob Bryan, Judy and Edgar Kleindist were all there with there boats to try as well as give buiding building demos.

Master builders Michael Vermouth and Mac Buhler showed more techniques and answered hundreds of questions.

Jay Babina gave us a great Greenland paddle Techniques demo with the help of his friends. With Rob Bryan's Greenland paddle making demo, I'am ready to quickly whittle a 2x4 into a Greenland paddle and go out and practice what Jay taught us.

Hundreds of builders braved rough weather to bring their beautiful boats to this event. I learned more building tips and techniques in 3 days than I have in 3 years and paddled all the latest stripper designs including Nicks new Night Heron.

Hats off to Michael and the staff of Newfound woodworks for a great Rendezvous 99!! I'am already looking forward to Rendezvous 2000.
