I bought a Necky Arluk III in 1995 that came with this seat. I also found it uncomfortable but read in "Paddler" magazine that it was for heavier paddlers and that the seat would form nicely to their butt after awhile. As I only weigh 150# I figured awhile to be more like forever.I replaced the seat with their updated formed plastic model. (Great seat.)

I have the old seat and was going to cannibalize it for some higher purpose, until I was at my local Necky distributor and saw the seat kit there for $104.00!!! If I can save a fellow builder a few bucks, all the better.
