Your point cannot be stressed enough!! Regular paint respirators don't work with any product using an isocyanate. Fresh air respirators only, with full body protection.

I am an automotive painter and also know of many painters with long term effects from the incorrect use of these products. Not too many old auto painters left, and the problems started in the mid seventies when isocyanates were first used in the field. We were told then that our regular respirators were fine, then 10 years later they said, " Well, maybe you should use one of these." Too late for many people, and old habits die hard so many painters still wouldn't switch. Polyurethanes are the worst though.
