I understand exactly how you did it. I looked @ the pump & I think I'll need some washers, because the large diameter of the ports flanges make them go higher than the pump flange, but that's not a problem.

I asked bosworth about a check valve for the deck when I purchased the pump, & they said they don't have one & they can't guarrantee that water will not fill the hose all the way back to the pump.

I intend to install a check valve on the deck, hope to find it @ marine hardware store.
