A recent post talked of a white additive for West System epoxy -- can this be used on the hull for scratch resistance (or at least reducing scratch visibility)? And does this still need a UV protector over it, or does being opaque mean no extra UV protection is necessary? Although I'm building a stripper and don't want to uglify my boat, I'm thinking of adding this white epoxy to the football-shaped scratch-prone area below the waterline.
