I made the seat for four kayaks with a plaster mold. 2 with raw plaster of paris. It absorbs wax and I always had one or two areas that stuck to the glass. Then I glassed the mold with beter results for removing the seat. 2 oz cloth- filling the weave making it mirror smooth. Now I use seran wrap. I coat the mold with auto wax and put on seran wrap in several small pieces making them as smooth as possible. The seat always comes right off. I touch up any wrinkels in the seat with sanding and epoxy putty. Always remove the seat as soon as the epoxy is stiff enough to touch. Don't waite for it to get rock hard. You may be romoving it with a saw.
