I am starting the process of building a guillemot and am just at the stage of drawing out the full scale forms. My question is about forms 8, 9 and 10--the ones that are in the cockpit region. I'm assuming that just these three forms are the ones that Nick says you want to make with a removable top for ease of making the recessed cockpit, which uses strips placed across the boat. The problem is that in the table of offsets for the guillemot there are several blank spaces for forms 8,9 and 10 and there are only data points up to the point where the deck stops and from there you draw a horizontal line to the centerline. If you're supposed to make a "full form" for the deck strips to rest on then where do you get the additional offset and height numbers for this top "removable" portion of these three forms?
