I have a friend who is almost finished with his foam strip guillemot. It is looking good. He used a very stiff urethane foam that he got from Boeing surplus I think. $30 for all the foam. He is a professional fiberglass worker, that builds towfish (towed submarines). He used 10 oz. glass and his usual resin. He has less than $100 invested. He will need to paint it, the foam doesn't look as nice as the wood. I'll give a report after the launch, I'm planning to be there for it.
