I thought I'd start a new post as the earlier thread has migrated down pretty far.
Well, I'm not too far along right now, but I formed a chipboard box that I'm going to fill with wet sand, and then cover my posterioral impression with burlap and plaster.
So, I got the sand, the burlap, the plaster. There I was, in my Sunday best, wetsuit covered with saran wrap, all ready for a hot date.
Okay, not quite to the wetsuit and saran wrap part. I started thinking (you know, thinking, the one thing that really gets in the way of building progress) should I form a "crotch block" in this seat? Whitewater outfitters have a foam block available that you can glue in between your legs to keep your rear even more anchored in place. I wasn't thinking about something so radical, but can anyone think of pros and cons for putting more of a raised area between the legs? Most commercial seats have the tiniest little peak--you also slide around a lot in them. (hip pads help alot here)
Any sage ideas to add to my muttered meanderings?
