I started glassing my Guillemot this weekend. The hull looks great so far so good. However, I had a little resin let over so I resin coated one side of the cheek plates on Friday. Sunday I sanded the cheek plates and wet wiped them down with a damp cloth. When I went to glass them, a few spots came out almost black, What went wrong? The only thing I can think of is, it's areas around the edge where I sanded through the resin to the wood and the wood was still damp from the wet wipe before glassing. It's no big deal, I'll hide that side where you won't see it or make new ones. I just don't want the same problem on the deck scheduled for glassing next weekend.
